What skills should I put on my resume to qualify for a Caregiver job?

If you have any experience with ADL's ((Activities of Daily Life), bathing, grooming, dressing, etc.)). Emotional support, companionship, patience, compassion. If you need ant other ideas, don't be afraid to ask me any other questions.

I am a 67 year old disabled Army Vet. I am mobile and have a great understanding with people who are hurting and show compassion, faith and understanding to needs I am not able to do heavy out right lifting but have know problem moving a 200 lb person from wheal chair or into a car. In the last 20 + years I took care of both my parents and inlaws parents All were given quality care and was with them when they passed.

Good luck to you. Caregivers are greatly needed. Communication skills are a plus- you need to communicate any changes you see to your charge nurse. You also need to communicate to your potential employer that your doing this because you care about helping ppl. That always helps. 😊

Can you do vital signs? That would be a plus

Time management, organization, patience, physical strength, compassion, communication

I would add to Christina answer make client important and what. they want if you can I listen to them their. Past stories if they hurt remember if they have nurses visit or let their family know just be thoughtful and try to fill their needs

You can put any medical or in home care you have done. I have always worked in a hospital setting as a PCT never did in home before but because of my medical background I was hired right away

Caregiver that's what we are when we care for people no matter what are our certification cna home health companion Caregiver it's the same

If you are looking to work as a care giver in memory care and assisted living facilities, you do not need a car and drivers license, or work at meal sevice and medications administrations. Most senior living places especially asssited living and memory care have a medication tech department and kitchen staff. In these communities you strictly just do care giving (showering, transferring and grooming). You just need to have a little experience working with elderly who have dementia and memory impairment, also willing to work weekends and nights. Hope this helps!
