Remember that they "want" you to be the right person for the job. Smiling is a de-stresser. Press your ring finger and thumb together then relax, together then relax. This is a de-stresser. Believe that you are as smart as others who have done this job before, and they collected a check, so will you. All you really have to do is convince them that you are a good listener, happy to be there, excited about learning something new, and ready to start now even if you do seem nervous. It's a good nervous like Christmas or the start of a big game or celebration.

Hiring Manager at Dollar General

Be yourself and ask questions. Some managers don’t tell you things that deals with the job. Ask about closing and what the sales associate responsibilities. And always be honest about your answers to the questions they ask you.

Take a deep breath. Remember the people who work there are just like you. Everyone starts out the same way and your interviewer was once sitting in your chair.
