Resume confusion

My resume has been reinvented since August 2016. I have even had a professional look it over and totally change the format to combination style for a better cast of skills. I am truthfully not a big cover letter writer but I have really good experience. Why is no one biting. I am so confused.

What should I do?

Need your suggestions. I am a Senior - 30 years HRM experience. When going into an interview (Have 1 this week), I am tempted to talk to the elephant in the room (age) and address concerns up front. What would you do and how ? Can you give me some pointers? Much appreciated!

Overcoming a Criminal Record

Ok, so I'm 40PLUS, I was convicted of a felony at the ripe age of 43. I am trying to get back into professional position. I have 2 degrees had not other issues in my past but still can't get my foot back in the door. Any suggestions on companies that are receptive to 2 chances. Thank you in advance for any suggestions

Reference list on resume hampering interview success

Completed almost 30 applications for qualified positions that closely match my knowledge, skills and abilities. However, I have only received one interview followed by a letter stating "we have decided not to interview you at this time". I am beginning to suspect my reference listing may have something to do with the lack of interview response and increase in rejection letters. In my reference listing, I have two previous employment colleagues as professional references, and two local family friends (social network events) as personal references. I selected my references in this way, as I have limited or transient employment history accompanied with consistent academic completion. My question is, should I list a counselor whom I see for accessibility access as a reference on my resume. And if so, should I list the reference as a professional or personal reference as they have a written record of my academic and work history. Thanks

My resume looks kind of boring, but how do I spice it up without being too flashy? I still want to look professional.

I won't post it because it has sensitive information, but from a general idea, I set it up based on this template:
