Bringing your dog to Home Depot
I work in the hardware department at home depot and it’s usually pretty stressful. Tons of customers with unclear questions can get really frustrating after awhile. Plus its a nightmare to go on break because I have to work thru other departments and always get stopped to ask questions on things i don’t know much about and can’t leave them until I find someone who can help them.. Anyway I love when people bring in their dogs! Being able to relieve stress at work with fluffy dogs is amazing and makes work so much better.. So if you have a good dog please bring them in to make your local home depot and make their employees day!!

Should I work where my husband does???
I applied because my husband has worked here for years and said good things about Home Depot. Now I am worried though. Do you think it's a good idea to work in the same place as your spouse?

Worked on the weekends
When I was first teaching I worked at Home Depot on Friday after work and then Saturday and Sunday's in the garden center as a cashier and then inside during the winter months. I needed the extra income as my wife and I were buying our first home and the more money we could put down the better! I basically filled the hours for those who wanted weekends off. I enjoyed being outdoors during the warmer months, but the summertime could get pretty hot. They were good about giving me bottled water and a fan in my little booth. It wasn't a bad job at all.

They were helpful!
As a student who was JUST going back to school again, Home Depot was a good part-time job that greatly helped pay the bills. HR was always helpful when I had a scheduling conflict between school and work. The work environment was a positive one. I have only things to say about them.

Home Depot has been a good job so far
I am a newbie and just started working for Home Depot a few months ago. They do seem to care about their employees more than other large retailers which is cool. There are always possibilities for advancement which I plan to go for in the future. So far my co-workers are the best people I ever worked with, like a second family. I am really happy with this job.

In life it's the little things that matter!
I am a mechanic, but I also do contract work on the side and work part time for Home Depot. I have always worked 3 or 4 jobs for as long as I have been able. I remember this Christmas holiday season one weekend this woman comes to the store to buy a tree with her three young kids. They are all excited jumping and playing and talking about Santa. We get the tree on the roof for her and she goes to drive away but the car wouldn't start. I jumped it for her and even took time on my lunch break to put in some oil. She was so grateful. It was honestly the best feeling in the world. It's funny what gives us happiness in life. Sometimes it truly is the little things.
