The West Central Ohio Manufacturing Consortium (WCOMC) will offer its Basic Manufacturing Pathway class Oct 7 thru Oct. 30, see more details (http://bit.ly/1QLvl1Y). Classes will be held at the Ohio Means Jobs Center, 1501 South Dixie Highway, Lima, OH. This 40-hour class will be held Wednesdays and Fridays, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. If interested you can register by calling the WCOMC at 419-995-8353 by October 6. The Basic Manufacturing Pathway class covers manufacturing-related skills in integrated systems troubleshooting, quality, continuous improvement, basic math & measurement and safety. The course covers workplace or “soft” skills in areas such as communication and teamwork. The course also includes resume writing and financial aid application for students pursuing additional training

Caldwell County is hosting a career fair in Lenoir, NC on Thurs (10/01) from 8:30am - 12pm. I received a message from Cygnus Manufacturing about a preliminary interview appointment but is this like a regular interview? I'm not sure if I should get my hopes up

I feel like I’m being pre-judged at interviews because of my body art (tattoos). I show up clean, well dressed, and professional. Aren’t there any employment laws that can protect me?

Is it a good idea to literally write notes during an interview or would that be too distracting?
