It's in my blood

Both my grandfather and father worked for Coca Cola. You could say it's in my blood. I remember my dad working at the factory and all the stories he would have when he got home. We always had coke in our house, what else was there that was as good? To this day I will only drink Coke.

He made my son's day

My little guy and I and I walked about two miles or so to the grocery store one day. The car was broke. When we got there, the Coke truck had just pulled up for a delivery. Very excitedly, he starts saying how he wishes he had a Coke and how much he loves it. My wife is against us giving him a lot of sugar, but he has a Coke as a treat from time to time. The delivery man must have heard us because he walked over, tapped him on the shoulder and gave him a bottle to drink. My son carried it all the way home refusing to let me open it because the Coca Cola man had given him this special surprise.

She provided for us kids

When I was a kid, my grandmother worked at the Coca-Cola bottling plant in Cincinnati, Ohio. She would always come home and bring us kids Cokes. We would pop the tops off and chug them. She would tell us not to, but we couldn't help ourselves. Kids will be kids, right? Then years and years later I worked there too and stayed for a while just not as long as her. Funny to think of my grandmother working there, but she did it amazingly well. She took care of me and my little brother growing up with that job.

The good ole' days

My dad worked for the Coca-Cola Bottling Company as a route salesman way back in 1963. He was very proud of his employment there and the product. He actually seemed upset when he saw a person drinking anything else. I still have his Coca-Cola cap and uniforms he wore while working there and I won't ever get rid of them. Every time Coke comes out with a new flavor I always want to tell him about it. He loved his time there.

It was good while it lasted

For me, coca cola products have always been like old friends. They have been with me through the up's and downs in my childhood, into adulthood, and probably into my kids' futures. I worked for them quite a few years back as a quality assurance manager and made good money. They had great benefits and I was treated with respect. I miss it there, but I, unfortunately, had to move due to my damn ex-wife. It was good while it lasted.
