What "I Need A New Job" Really Means....

Hi all,

Given the amazing response to this group (I love you all for joining me here), I wanted to share this article I wrote as the foundation for us shaking up your job searches so we can get some results. Read this and see if it sounds like you: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/what-i-need-new-job-really-means-j-t-o-donnell?trk=mp-reader-card

Then, share your observations on how it relates to your own job search here in the group. If you can do that, I can start to share some free resources with you all to help you get these job searches in gear.

I promise, you can find a new job. Sadly, they don't teach us the latest techniques for finding work. So, if you don't learn them, you could stay frustrated. I don't want that to happen.

Can't wait to see your comments so we can get started!

Like Instagram? Good News... It Can Help You Get A Job!

I'm always looking for job search shortcuts and this week I found a gem!

In this article for Inc Magazine, I explain how companies could start using their Instagram accounts to get their followers to check out their job openings. If you think about it, what a great way to connect with an employer, right? If you like some of their photos and follow them on Instagram, you could also leave a comment and see if they respond.

For example, I tried it (read the article below and you'll see what I did), and I got Salesforce.com, one of the top 20 companies to work for in America to respond to me! It was easy and they answered me in under an hour.

So, check this out and give it a try. Perhaps you can get the conversation going with your dream employer too!

Medical Billing Coding Specialist

I went to school for Medical Billing Coding Specialist and still cannot find job. It can be stressful and frustrating. I'm a single mom with a five year old boy. I found a job working with the elderly is fun I enjoy it. I know I still someday want a job in medical receptionist at least.

Assistant Manager

I have been in enough Leader positions and now just want to be an Administrative Assistant but, all the interviews I have been on have told me that I am over qualified.
How do I get offered an Administrative Assistant position, even though I am qualified to be the Administrator? I would like to be able to step up and fill the Administrator's job when they are not available but, mainly just be the Assistant to the Administrator. I am now in the position of life that I would rather just help someone else "shine" with their leadership skills and just stay in the background.
