Once you’ve found the role that is a great fit for your skillset, it’s time to apply! Here is a quick snapshot into each step of the process.
Application All applications are done online and you may apply for multiple roles. Be sure to customize your resume for each job you plan to apply for! Leave about 45 minutes to complete the entire application.
Application Review After submitting your application, you will receive an automated email confirming receipt of your submission. This is when recruiters will look it over to see if you’ll be a well-matched candidate for the role. This process can take several days, or several weeks. Be sure to regularly check your email and profile for updates.
Assessment Depending on the job you apply for, you may be asked to complete an online assessment to help you and the UHG recruiters see if you’ll be a good fit. Watch your email after you apply for a link, you will have 48 hours to complete the assessment!
Interview Next, will be an interview. It may be a digital or in-person interview! Prepare, get a good night sleep, dress to impress and be on time! These will all leave a lasting impression.
Offer & Welcome If hiring managers conclude you’re a good fit for the role, you will be offered a salary and benefits package and welcomed to the team!

Application: Find a position that looks good? It’s time to apply
Application review: After you apply, your resume will be reviewed by our recruiters to ensure that you meet all the qualifications required for the job position you applied for.
Assessment: Depending on the job you apply for, you may be asked to complete an online assessment that may be followed by a digital interview.
Interview: If you meet all of the qualifications, a recruiter may initiate the next steps – this can be a phone interview, pre-employment assessment or video interview.
Offer & Welcome: After the Interview process, a hiring decision will be made. If you are offered a position, it will come as a verbal offer of employment, followed by an email when you accept!
On-boarding: Up next is on-boarding! Your hiring manager or recruiter will convey further details including start dates, benefits and important information.
Having a fantastic resume will always open up the right doors for you. After all, it’s the VERY first thing an employer will see and use to learn more about you.

1- Determine your objective. Clearly understand what you want in your career and take the time to form a clear and obtainable objective. Also understand what skills and experience are needed to do well in a particular position. You can structure the content of your resume around that objective.
2- Be clear and concise. You want us to be interested enough to contact you for an interview. Simply put yourself in the shoes of the resume reader - what would you be looking for in a candidate?
3- Use bulleted sentences. Resumes are read quickly so key phrases should stand out. Bulleting information will help us view your accomplishments at a glance--you can go into the details during the interview.
4- Use active language. Words like prepared, managed, developed, monitored, and presented make your resume stand out and make us recognize you are an energetic and enthusiastic candidate who makes things happen.
5- Highlight your strengths. Put the strong and most relevant points first. This is your -hook for the reader, the rest of your resume reels them in.
6- Match our needs. Review job descriptions on our site and match prevalent words to the bullet points in your resume. Chances are you possess many of the attributes already, so add them to your resume.
7- Create a concise format. A resume should be limited to one page unless you have more than 7 years of work experience. Make certain you’re using the space to your full advantage. The font size should be no smaller than 10 point, standard serif or sans serif fonts with plenty of space between lines and in the margins.
