I’ve been out of work just over 10 years now since the birth of my youngest daughter 2005. Things are stable enough at home to allow me to return to the workforce but I’m honestly not sure where to begin. It seems like a lifetime of industry changes occurred during my time away from the office. It’s was just impossible for me to maintain any type of professional development raising a new family over the last decade and catching up at this point seems overwhelming. I’m doubting my ability to make it back to work and it’s affecting my self-confidence, attitude, and overall well being. I want to feel useful in society again.
