I am looking for work in the Portland Oregon area. With near twenty years in the security industry I know that the keys to a successful operation are Training, Staffing, and Communication. Training starts with the basics. Report writing, Access Control, Time management. Staffing starts with the hiring process and continues through to consistent scheduling. Communication, you have to talk to your officers, client and supervisors. Failure in any one of these areas will end in disappointment, and a loss of officers, supervisors, and clients. I also know that learning what it takes to run a successful operation sometimes means making decisions and sticking with them to the end.
