I am currently working as a school teacher in WV. The pay is so low we fall in the poverty tax bracket. I am so far in debt due to going to college for those degrees for that career only to discover it only put me in debt. Still, in the field it costs more to work in a public school than you are paid, if you wish for your students to have supplies, it comes out of your pocket. This preconceived notion of only working 7-3, getting every weekend off, and every summer is bogus. I work every weekend and after hours, go back in the summer, because it is impossible to do the job in the time allotted. Education has become nothing more than a money/testing racket. I love teaching, wish to teach, but unfortunately, the system is broken and I do not wish to continue to be a part of a system that is failing today's youth, especially when it is also putting me in the poor house.

I would like a job I can do from home. I truly wish to teach, most online teaching jobs though have not been legitimate that I have found. I am a reading specialist as well. I would love to teach parents how to help their young children how to read ages 5-7 - a common mistake is reading is just looking at words and saying them....that's telling not teaching. That or teach ASL - American Sign Language, become an interpreter or just teach it. And just as a pipe dream job I'd love to get paid teaching adults how to play Dungeons and Dragons, because it has many of my favorite things incorporated, teaching, writing, and imagination!
