Ready for a Job Offer?

Third interview, what does that mean. It’s actually my fourth interview with the same company if I count the initial phone interview. So far I met with HR, department manager, and team supervisor. The next interview and what I think is the final interview is with the regional director. I’ve never been through so many interviews for a job before. I was kinda hoping for an offer after meeting with the manager but nothing yet. Should I get my hopes up for an immediate job offer if I do well on the third interview?

Repeated interviews are a good thing. They are narrowing it down from the initial 500 applicants to 100 then to 25 and finally to the last 5. With each new interview you getting closer to achieving success. Good luck!

I think that many interviews is stupid, I have gone on 3 different interviews with the same company and NEVER anything after the third interview. I called and left message with the office that was hiring and also with the district office still nothing. I decided I don't think I would like to work for that company. If they can't let you know either way it's not worth my time to keep calling and checking.

I hope you get job but it sounds like this company is just being very picky on who they hire. My son had a similar situation here in Manhattan, New York, where he did multiple interviews for same company, each one bring his hopes up for job but after all those interviews, he was told, he just didn't meet their expectations for the specific job location, despite his having all the qualifications needed. I wish you god luck.

Maybe, but according to the Texas Workforce Commission, the average number of steps in the process now sits at SEVEN. So, breathe. As long as they keep calling you back you are still in the running. It would be very appropriate to ask "Are you the final step in the selection process?" and "Is there any reason why I would not be your first choice for this position?" Then, ask for the job if you are comfortable with the answer to the prior questions.

Congratulations on getting this far. I know it's frustrating but hang in there. Maybe after this interview you can ask where they are in the process and what more you can expect.

Congrats on making it to the third interview but don't start counting chickens yet... Interviewing with different level leaders means there's more than one person involved in with the hiring decision. Approach it like any other interview and prepare. Good Luck

Sometimes there are a lot of people that want to talk to potential employees. I have a friend who had 5 or 6 interviews before actually getting the job, though he was pretty sure he had it. Having so many I think is definitely a good sign!
