Volunteer Job for 16
My name is Niyah Telleria, I am 16 years old I have done volunteer work such as babysitting,cleaning, and public speaking. I am at a point in my life I would like to start a job to help me with later on in life. I love to spending time with children of any age, I go to Newburgh Free Academy for high school.

Keep up the fight. When i was 3 i got a job in geophysical seismology and exploration. My love for children pushed me into a teaching career. I love teaching. When my grandma asked why i changed careers i told her i love the children. She beat me down with a sock half full of quarters. Hope this helps.

Not to discourage you, but you will have to get a work permit from your school, if you are going to school (and maybe even if you are not going to school). Also you have to permission from your parents, before you obtain the work permit. Ask school officials for the work permit and take it home. Also, because you are younger than 18, you will not be able to work with a stand mixer or meat cutter or grinder. A french fryer may also be off limits. You will only be able to fill bags with prepared sandwiches or wait tables. You cam bus tables, if you want to.
You may have already gotten a work permit to do your volunteer work, but you will need a new one to work for pay.

Well since you love working with children begin to start studying for your license to in daycare i know some daycares take volunteer workers. Once you start working as a daycare teacher they may hire you then work towards getting your directors. I muddle myself worked at daycares but i went to school for medical assistant and now awaiting to be hired at a pediatric a assistant associates then continue with nursing so i can work with pediatrics. Start working towards these now

Niyah, It sounds like you are on an incredible path. My kids went to Tulane in New Orleans. They give you $20,000 off tuition if you are involved in your community. It is worth looking into. You seem to be perfect to start a not for profit organization. There are many misconceptions about this. You are in fact a CEO of a very large organization. No the pay may not be as much but it is still good. If you raise 5 million for cancer research don't you think that effort is worth $75K? Find a cause that you are passionate about and go to it. Set up is easy. Start raising donations and support.
