Will HR call old employer's if I check “do not contact” on the application? I'll just say my former manager and I had Issues. Most of our problems were rooted out of resentments over an on and off personal relationship, Big Mistake!! Anyway, I know he’s not going to be a good reference contact. Will HR call the store anyway because of the length of time I worked there? "

....I just leave de box unmarked---and play stoopid if asked ( some applications will say ' if box is unmarked we will contact )....kind of a ' Catch-22 ' situation ; You're damned if you do, Damned if you don't...you would THINK you're Safe if you say, " NO CONTACT ", but then bite your Nails to de Bone worrying if they'll check---ESPECIALLY---because you asked Not To.....interesting question that has haunted me fer 40 yars.....hope someone has a Clear cut answer, once & for all....
