I've been a truck driver construction working all my life I was injured some years ago back in 2002 had a nonunion fracture in my leg that took 3 years to heal + 14 herniated disc in the meantime I had to go on Social Security disability I did find one job in 2016 that would hire me I worked there for 2 years and my back completely went out to where I couldn't walk I ended up in the hospital for a week and I was let go fired thought about going out there workers comp but I don't really want to do that I just want to work it's so hard to find somebody to put you to work when your on Social Security disability but I have my back surgery I'm doing much better getting around I have a job interview tomorrow to drive a tour bus here in Florida it just scares me to go to the interview the job I had before I got injured I was there for 20 years so it's kind of strange to go to interviews the last job I had I was scared to death and I lied but hey had I told the truth they would have never hired me that's a fact from 2007 Tiff 2016 I put so many applications than Carter has pills hey but don't quit You Keep On Keepin On the last job actually got off Social Security disability and was doing good until one wrong move I was in the hospital crying like a little girl let me tell you a herniated disc and the lower and upper back is no fun or in your neck people don't understand the pain unless they've gone through it I used to say you can't have back problems you're too young are you don't do nothing but sit behind a desk I take all that back anyways never forget God is in control of everything
Thanks so much for sharing your story Lelsie Mcleod . I'm sorry to hear about your health issues and how they've affected your employment. You seem to have worked through these issues well however and I commend you for continuing even though it can be really hard and painful!
