I went to Aerotek Staffing for an interview and assessment test for a job at Weyerhaeuser Distribution Center in Easton, pa. Do I need to send a thank you letter to the staffing agency even though I have not had the actual interview with the Company yet?

I would say YES...you want to be recognizable and build a brand for yourself. People will remember a hand written note of appreciation!

Wait until you have the interview with the company before sending a thank you letter, but do follow up with Aerotek for updates.

That's a good question Thomas. I've used temp agencies in the past and never thought of sending out a thank you letter back to the agency after the first appointment. I think it's probably an uncommonly good move on your part and I think you should do it. The letter shows professionalism, courtesy, and good habits.
