I got a job at bath and bodyworks and at the beginning I had a bunch of hours. They recently started not scheduling me. So I call the store and they told me that I was just needed when they're busy or have a special sale. The managers haven't told me anything so I was wondering if I did something that cost me that job but nope. I'm as needed.

Glad you talked to the hiring manager. Yes definitely finish up school, so important! It's amazing you are working towards that. This is just the bumpy part it will calm down soon, just make sure to hold on and don't lose sight of what is important. You have got this girl!! Our moms are often right about things and pay attention more than we do...I am guilty of this even now haha. I would search for a job with flexible hours that would support you in your goals. I would sit down with a manager and tell them to please clearly set your hours as not putting you on the schedule is unfair. Did they list your job as part or full time? If not full time I would start looking around at other jobs so you can find one with a bit more stability. What about another bath and Body Works? Target?
Sounds like you were considered as a floater. Make sure that for the days that you worked you count those hours for accountability purposes. But also get a possible recommendation or check with another location to be hired and have them contact the manager as a reference.
