The future
I'm 70 and owned my own business for forty years. I suffered a stoke at the age of 47 and lost my ability to walk properly for 6 years because the stroke affected my vestibular stem. Along the way I was diagnosed with Hep C, so, I began to work out and by the age of 55 entered USA track and field. By the age of 60 I was one of the top 200 meter sprinters in my age group in America. By the age of 62 I was diagnosed with Cirrhosis because of the Hep C and began to run the 400 meters and at 65 I entered the top ten in America. Now at 70 I trying to re-enter the top ten in the 400 meters in the 70 to 74 age group. I say to anyone "you can do anything you put your mind to."

Wow you are an inspiration to us all Steve Melendez ! You never gave up and kept fighting. We lost my uncle to that disease when he was in his 50's and so young. There was no cure then sadly but I am so glad you have gotten well and you are kicking some butt! : )
