For today's you know you're from Rhode Island I would like to showcase an ICON!!!
Yes, that's right, the Del's lemonade truck.
You know you're from RI when you can fully admit that Del's is NOT just lemonade. As in, there is no possible other lemonade that could taste as good so don't even bother. Also if you attempt to drink it with a straw someone will disown you...most likely.
You also know that you are from RI when you recognize that fall has ended and winter is coming because these trucks are no longer parked on the streets of Rhode Island.
Has anyone ever worked on one of these trucks during the summer?
I would have, but I probably would have just consumed all the product, haha.
An essential part of trying to consume Del's lemonade...tilting your head back to get the slush at the bottom only to have it all fall on your face. Always refreshing in summer! :D
It's one of the local pleasures I've come to love about RI including Coffee Milk and Johnny Cakes.
