Hey Andreo, I can certainly understand how the employment community would seem like a broken system for a relatively new job seeker with little to no experience. The system is broken but evolved into another level. The real jobs, (good pay, benefits, and advancement opportunities), with entry level options for new job seekers are out there and attainable but you need a new and improved job search strategy to land those opportunities.
I see you had previous experience volunteering at the Humane Society. That counts as work experience. Do you have a resume? An optimized resume is the number 1 tool you need to have in your arsenal in order to find one of those life changing jobs. If you need help creating a resume that's going to get you hired call your local career resource center at 512-223-5400 ext 5482 and set up a FREE one on one consultation with a career professional TODAY! They can help you build a resume to reflect your skills, experience, and highlight your strengths and personal traits that will attract hiring managers.
As soon as you get that done upload your resume onto your Jobcase profile then look into getting ready for this AT&T Customer Service Representative Priority Interview / Hiring Event next Wednesday, December 13. Use the link I provided to look over the job description to see if this is a job you think you can learn and/or manage. Try to look at the big picture of this opportunity. It’s basically a foot in the door to an international company with competitive pay, great benefits, and career advancement opportunities. It’s not where you get in but where you can grow to after your an employee with the company.
If you decide to attend the event then make sur4e you go into it all the way. Get an updated resume together, dress to impress, do your homework on the company, and show up with a positive “can do” attitude. Reach out to me directly at #JordansInBox if you need help preparing.
I’ve been in a similar situation when I was starting out so I empathize with your concerns but I’m here to Remind You that “You Can Do This Andreo!!” Stay Encouraged!
