Frustrating
I got this part time job on the 29th of last month but it is almost taking me that long just to start the job because of all the tests required and now my mom wants me to look for another job...ugh.

Some people dont understand that the job start process is different from how it used to be. Its not the guy taking the help wanted sign off the window and them telling you to be there in the morning.
What you need to do, however is check to make sure you ACTUALLY got the job or if they are strining you along until they decide that they REALLY want you.
3 weeks of onboarding does happen (more if there are clearances involved), but sometimes this is a tactic used to keep you handy while they figure out if they REALLY want to fill the position.
Do your homework

Where is the job? Is it in a hospital? Did you ask whether or not this is paid training? Have you checked grocery stores for employment opportunities?

LOGAN, I THIS AL THERE ON LIN APPS ARE BULLSHIT U START ONE THEN IT LEADS ME TO SOMETHING ELSE, I HAVE AL I CAN TO COMPLETE ONE AM I STUPID P R OLD I'M 51 IN MY DAY WE HAD PAPER APPS AND WE TALK TO THE SUPERVISOR. CAN ANYTHING ONE HELL WHAT AM I DOING WRONG!!! DAWN GRAVES PISSED OFF AND FRUSTRATED

You are still going to have to wait for a paycheck even if you get a job and start today. Do you have any neighbors that need some help in the yard or manual labor you could get paid for? Can you borrow the money from your mother until you get your first paycheck? Or could you call the place you owe money to and explain the situation and ask if you can pay the bill when you get paid?

Logan: Your mother wants you to work doesn't she? Explain that you have a job, and it will take a few days before you start. You can't spend time looking for another job. She should understand this part. You may have to give her the reason you will stick with this job. If they aren't paying you for your time taking and answering all the test and questions, if you have time and the money needed, go find another job. But it won't have what this one offers.

Logan...I saw your response....Very good! You're absolutely right about perseverance.....stay well and the very best wishes in your pursuit of a career....you will find it.....just be patient.

Have you heard of World Financial Group?

I agree with your mom. You should always be looking for "another job" that is better.

Tighten your belt and work through this.
You can thank the Homeland Security Act for that. I had to copy, fax, and scrape up identification to prove I was actually born in the US. Birth certificate and then some!! Its ridiculous. THEN you start the drug testing!!!
