Retired Female, 73yrs young, Desperate to earn a lving.
I was downsized in Jan.2013, just 2 months before my son died. I was so in shock, I really had a hard time relating to the situation. Living in NJ is a real financial struggle. I need a job, working from home, hopefully without computer, as ours is way too slow. My hubby works 2 jobs, 7 nites a week, also has macular degeneration, so I drive him to & from work. Can anyone give me some ideas about a way to earn a living? Really getting desperate now.... Thanks for reading my tale of woe.
I'm so sorry to hear of your situation. Unfortunately I don't have much to suggest. I hope others here have some good leads. The jobs I can think of that you can do from home usually require a phone and a computer, although not necessarily a fast one. Some possibilities are virtual office assistant, medical coder, some call centers (help desks etc.) want native English speakers and can redirect calls to your home number. Since you've done payroll verification, perhaps there are some other accounting-related verification jobs you could do? Billing? Good luck!
Do you have any special talents like knitting, painting, or something like that? You could make things and then sell them. I think it will be difficult otherwise to find a work from home job without a good computer.
