Odd email from "recruiter"?
I got an email this morning that starts with this: "Our Company is getting back to you regarding application on a Careers job-site We have found that you fit our conditions for position of Regional Director of Procurement."
Way cool, except I'm a programmer with a lot of application support experience. Nothing in my resume screams Procurement.
Additionally, in the job description, they have this interesting duty: "Do inventory control and provide clerical help as needed". This seems an interesting duty to include with develop long-term strategic plans and monitor a team of Procurement Managers.
I'm guessing this is some scam to get more information about me, but my resume is openly available and I'm getting desperate to find work, so I replied. Thoughts?

Craziness
Hey Jon.
You nailed it. It is a scam. If you responded they would have "interviewed" you and offered you a position, then sent you a check to furnish your home office. They would have sent you "too much" and asked that you send some back.
After a few days, the check would bounce and you would be on the hook for the full amount.
