Taking it slow
I have worked my entire adult life. I am not used to being unemployed and unemployment pays peanuts. However, I decided that I would concentrate on what I wanted to do and not so much what I was qualified to do, though obviously I have to consider that. This has made things less stressful emotionally though not financially but peace of mind (to some degree) is awesome.
I had an interview with two companies, but both required working nights and weekends and possibly holidays. I have no desire to do any of that ever again. Then I found a company that allows me to assist people in their homes, sometimes a full 8 hours (4 in each home) and sometimes one home. The hours are flexable and I get to do what I love, assisting others.
This is not a job I plan to stay at for very long, but it is a slow start back into the working world and paid time to find what I want that truly suits me. I am not making a lot of money but if Im not wrong I believe, if qualified, I can collect part time unemployment.
My point here folks is while you look for work , don't think of it as your last stop. We all need to pay bills and make money, but try to relax and take that job that pays the bills, you may not even like it or it may turn out to be the greatest job ever, but you are not married to that position. I hope this has helped.

Yesssss, that was well stated. I am currently unemployed seeking employment after working for my last employer for 26years. It's hard not working, but gives one time to think and you are correct we all have Bill's. Thx...

Bobbye Webb...great words of encouragement!

Congrats on a NEW perspective on employment. Sometimes God takes us a different path, he gives us time to contemplate, regroup, organize and take one step at a time. I am doing the same. The doors open for opportunity and a new outlook. It is like clicking the “REFRESH” button on your computer.

Bobbye, That is great and you can pursue other opportunities while you are looking for that perfect job fit. Good for you hopefully this way you can find what you love to do.

Scammer bros calm down

Gosh Bobbye, I envy you, being able to do what you enjoy! And that flexablity wow. I would say, take it and run, no matter what the money was. Have a great week! Jerry

Thanks for that feedback Bobbye Webb I have definitely had jobs I loved and jobs I did just to see me through at the time. I think we do what we need to do when times are tough.
