Let go from temp job.. .

I started a temp job last Tuesday. Tuesday through Friday went great. Recieved phone call from temp agency that they don't want me. The problem...I left several things there on my desk. I 9 documents. Bank info. Coffee cup etc that they now "can't find". Strongly considering a small claims lawsuit.

Sue? Possibly if u have proof! Move on! It might be better than being tied up in court especially if u dont have the funds and can't find someone to do it probono.ijs...

If it was a temp job, you were technically not an employee, and should have refrained from leaving personal items at your work station. Aside from the coffee cup, the items you listed are all paper in nature, and were most likely filed in your personnel folder. You generally don't take your I9 with you when you leave a place on employment, in fact, employers are required to keep that documentation on file if they paid you any money. Filing a small claims case over a coffee cup seems extremely petty. I would suggest stoping by the business and asking if you could look for yourself if the cup is that important to you.

Can you just try stopping by the office to find them? That seems very strange.
