How the hell do you all do it?!
I am wondering how you all stay healthy on the road? Ive been a trucker for a while now and I try to exercise when I can and eat better but I usually end up eating crap. Whatever is fast and tastes ok usually is not good for me. I really love my job, but my one fear is I will develop diabetes like my sister and older brother cuz it runs in our family. I don’t want that. HELP! What can I do?

Cook on the truck I have a 3000 watt inverter and a crockpot make my meals a the house freeze them and cock on the truck

I have every small appliance I need on my truck and when my Inverter is actually working cook all my own meals and very seldom eat out of the truck stops. Appliances include a Microwave, Toaster Over. George Forman Grill, Hot Plate,Small Crockpot and a Rice Cooker Steamer.

Meal prepping can help with eating better while being out on the road.

Get out of your truck before you go to sleep and start walking around the area you’re parked at walk for 10min for every hour you drive so if you drive for 8 then you have to walk for 1.5 hours

I currently travel around in my RV what I call my residential vehicle. I have diabetes and do my best to eat fruits, drink a lot of water and eat less fat. I have read that it isn't so much the sugar as it is how much fat you eat. The fat blocks the cells thus causing the sugar to build up. This is the short story for you. In other words, eat less sugar (yeah, right) but do eat less fat. Like fatty burgers, French fries, bacon and so forth. Hope this helps you. In my case, I am in the process of finding a steady place to live and work part-time for the summer and keep myself in balance. Stress is another factor that affects your metabolizim and can lead to diabetes. Have you considered another type of job? I have more I can share with you but at this rate, I would be writing a book.

In re: to your Resume, take the MBA off. I know - it's sad. But I have an MBA too & when an Employer sees that you have an MBA, they're thinking right away that you are WAY overqualified for the job (usually) but also that you want a huge salary - like $100k, 150k, 200k, or whatever. And in re: to your having an MBA, get the job, get it first, show them your stuff - how great & dedicated you are, work really really hard and then later, make it known to your Manager, that you have that degree.

Try and follow a simple low carb/calorie/sugar diet. Instead of chips eat beef jerky/pork rinds. Instead of soda drink black coffee, unsweetened tea/ zero calorie/carb drinks. They are in every Truckstop just look a little harder. Stay away from the buffets those are designed to make you fat. Eat more salads, get a cooler and pack your own foods from home.

My best friend is a long haul trucker. I was poking fun at him because he was skinny all his life now he had a pot belly. Now he buys fruits and veggies when he's hungry he grabs something and has lost a shitload of weight. Looks awesome like his old self. Thanked me for waking him up. Now he's happy

Right there w/you on some of this. My family is hypertension & diabetes kicks in over 60. Yes, pick up groceries @ Walmart as previously suggested. I don't carry a microwave, but use my rice cooker/steamer quite a bit. I also have one of those lunchbox cookers they sell in truck stops. Either will cook frozen with some patience. I've also been able make scrambled eggs w/mixed additions as well. It's a thought...
I agree. Eat in the truck. We had a microwave, crockpot, skillet.
