Elonda, pray to our Lord. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

Transitioning is hard for some especially if they been in the same industry for so long. Trust me I know. I transitioned from school, to retail, to office, and now call center. I am looking into transitioning agin to the medical industry as a billing clerk. My suggestion is to talk to those in the industry you are interested on and join social groups such as LinkedIn. They always post job offerings on the site as well. I also would suggest if possible to join a temp agency. They offer weekly pay and also parttime employment and the experience if you're open to it take every job they offer you if its reasonable travel. You find yourself hired in 90 to 120 days at a job you love. Most employers will hire temps if the budget allows it. Good luck and best wishes in your transition period.

Hey Elonda, this issue really hits home for me because I want to shift to a different job in the same industry. Do you have a good relationship with your manager? or a mentor? I think talking to someone who has your best interests at heart can help you find a job role that's more challenging for you and still uses all your skills
