I am a victim of an internet scam I signed up at freelancer.com to be a viritial asstiant. I got a job from a man named Daniel Shore he claimed to be an artists of thats who he said he was I was to be paid 300.00 to set up a web site for him he emailed me the attachment of the paintings on sitebuilder.com. I received a check in the mail for 2,500 he informed me 4 of his paintings sold he told me his painters needed to be paid. I deposited the check into my savings account called the bank the next day and was told the money was in the account. I was instructed to take 1100 send it western union to a Maria Rivera in Texas the remaining money was to be sent money gram to the same woman which I did. 3 days later my bank called me to inform me the check bounced my account was -2500 and to come into the bank the next day with all of the money or I was going to jail I was sick. I filed a report with my local Sheriffs dept and the report stated I was a victim of a scam also reported the scam to the FBI, Ohio Attorney Generals Office. I have done everthing I can think of to stop these scammers. My bank has made me feel like I was a criminal like I did nthis on purpose I did not know it was a scam. I am angry and upset at the same time I can not believe how stupid I was I have a job I wanted to supplement my income does anyone know what other agenceys I can get in touch with to stop these scammers?
