Social Services Specialist I at Oklahoma Department Of Human Services

It's may not be exactly what you're looking for, but in the state of Oklahoma (and I'm sure many other states), all you need to have to work as a social services specialist or in child welfare with the Department of Human Services is to have a Bachelor's degree (in any subject) and preferably experience working with individuals and families or children in a professional setting. I wouldn't recommend trying to work for the state in Oklahoma though. The state budget is extremely short and they're cutting people from positions left and right in the social services field. Most other states should be in a better condition though. Good luck.

School Social Worker at Harvard School District 50

I am also a social worker. In the state you must possess the professional degree a masters in social work. It appears that your experience and degrees are in a variety of areas which social workers certainly work. However your degree use prevent you from being called for you calling yourself a social worker. I wish you all the best in your job search and hope that you find the calling for which you are seeking. The university of Illinois has an excellent professional degree Masters in social work should you decide that additional degrees would be helpful. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me and And I will be pleased to assist you. Regards Pat Ross
