Have you checked with your university for internship opportunities? There are teams of recruiters from large companies all over the US who target universities to hire interns. It's an opportunity for you to gain experience in your chosen field (and a lot of these are paid), and an opportunity for companies to groom potential hires upon graduation. Ask your dean if your school offers this program (and they all do) then apply. From personal experience, trust me, that would be the best way to go because you are working and padding your resume with relevant experiences for after graduation.
