Beware!!!

I was approached by a gentleman that got my resume off zip recruiter. The position was originally a admin position, then it was a personal assistant.....whatever! The gentleman sent me a check for $3250.42 which included my "signing bonus and money for equipment and software that I supposedly needed. I received the check on Friday and he requested that I withdraw money out of my account and deposit it into another bank account. Ummmm Heck No! He is very persistent and will try to guilt trip you to pull the money out of your account before the check cleared completely. Needless to say the check was returned today and I am out $12 . But it is better than the $3,000 that he was requesting.

Dear Karla: I am so sorry that this happened to you. The same thing happened to me. I was "interviewed" on hangouts by Debra, "hiring manager". She sent a check to my house as well; I didn't know it was fraudulent. So anyway, I was trying to become an Administrative Assistant because I went to school for it as well. Plus, I have done internship for Courier Newspaper. Back to the scam job: I was instructed to put the check into my account. Then I had to withdrawal the cash and send to people that I didn't even know through WU. I've have sent the money like 2-3 times. Then, the next thing I knew, there was an overdraft fee in my bank account of negative $3,000 something. It was close to $4000. I felt betrayed because all I ever wanted to be is an Administrative Assistant working in an office. Instead of me getting paid, I had to pay the "employer" just to work for their fake company, which is called Corporate Social Responsibility. So, I went to the bank and told the teller what happened. She said that I have been a victim of fraud. People are so fucking mean, it's not even funny. That scam artist was lucky that I didn't have a gun. If I did, I will ice that bitch! I hate people who take advantage of innocent people who work their asses off everyday.

I was approached by this same person! He's suppose to be sending me a check and coming into town within the next 2 weeks! If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is. I was really trying to be hopeful, but in the back of my mind it didn't feel right! I'm so glad I decided to research him!! More importantly, I thank God for the internet so the word can get around. Darn! Thank you Karla!

I'm so sorry that happened to you. I had a similar experience on SnagaJob. I contacted the company that was being represented as well as the FBI Cybercrimes unit to file a complaint. I was upset because I was in a vulnerable state due to being unemployed and looking for a job. I'm glad u were not out $3000 like so many people are from these scams.

Almost happened to me too, but when I read email from person giving instructions on what to do with money, I was like ummm no, this is definitely a scam. I called the company the person said they worked for, and a person that legitimately worked for that company said that they did not have any offices in the area the person said they worked at, and they had no employees with the name that person gave/had.
