I am what you call a senior - really a baby boomer who is 65 yrs old but still thinks like a 30 year old. If you are out of work and think it is because of age, there are many things you can do. First, stop thinking like you are over the hill. If you have been in the work force for many years and have experience, you should be in demand. People like us, have the wisdom, experience and work ethic that many younger people do not have. If you like being on the phone, there are so many legitimate work from home jobs that you can do as an independent contractor. I decided that I had enough after I got fired from my last job for no reason 3 weeks before my 65th birthday. My husband is retired but we just bought a house 2 years and I love to work and have to work so I decided that I am not going to let anyone go in my way because I am older! I decided to form an LLC and get in control of my destiny. Every day I was on the computer looking for legitimate companies that I can work from home either full time or part time. All you need is a computer and sometimes a phone and if you can talk on the phone, there are many jobs in appointment setting, customer service, and sales. As an independent contractor, you can also choose your hours and no corporate drama. It must be working because this week I was accepted for 3 companies!
