My littlest is 8 years old and i feel like i never see her you know the say they grow up fast! ive been in this industry for a longtime and im ready to stop with the 12 hr days and long weeks but my compnay is pushing back and doesnt want me to stop long haul cus im sur eits more profitable or something and they say im a great driver...well give me a break than! what gives?

Mr Gary I been in the Industry for over 15 years already as city driver, otr and them dispatch and now brokerDispatch. Why dont get your own truck and work when you want it, I can help you given you tips and Im sure you may know all of them, but maybe is trust what you need and start your own thing. Let me know I got my page on facebook as USATRANSPORTCONTROL and you can call me we can go over details and I promis that This will change your life around in the positive way Thanks and have great day

Pull gas locally. Be home daily. Make 70,000 a yeat

Depending where you live maybe you can find a local gig I mean there’s steel companies always needing drivers there’s all kinds of jobs driving that local once you get experience

Sometimes you have to think outside the box. I drive for a company that hauls ore to the gold mines in Nevada. Sure it is long hours, 10-12 hours a day but I am home every night and on my two days off. It's a great company and it's easy money if you like driving.

I see this too often but if it’s your requirement then it should be. Companies will take advantage no let me rephrase.... the people within a company will take advantages of others when it comes to loads to make there selves look better. Don’t fall under this category because they should respect your situation within all boundaries.

Tell them if you want to keep me, this is the way it is. take it or leave it. If you have experience and a good record, a new job within the parameters your looking for should be easy to find.

Maybe time to look for a local job talk to friends an family an let them ask their friends if they know about any jobs you may end up with something better especially if you live in a high freight city

Have you considered hauling RVs? Seems to be viable , spoke to a guy over at my company FedEx Custom Critical that bought a cargo van and just runs what he feels like, we run mostly expedite freight and there are others too, Panther comes to mind, nice thing about this is the ability to park wherever you want and little to no of the hassles of a big truck.

I'm 64 with 20+ years driving. I want shorter hours or maybe a supplement to SS. What to do?
Try estes, fed ex freight, many day cab companies out there.
