Have applied to job posting at a large distribution center (not Amazon). Next day was called to take a test the following day on Saturday. Test was making sure you can tell if numbers were different out of 150 examples . Time 6 minutes. Called back only those people who passed. Scheduled my interview on this Thursday the16th. Position is in the Receiving/Stocking dept Full time can be weekends. There are 3 shifts available multiple positions. Hoping to get told to start work after the Interview and take the pre employment drug testing.
There are some better jobs opening up here.

Never got any further contact from the warehouse position. Rather retail posifion sent an email sept 1st that they were sorry to waste everyone's time but decided not to fill the posifion which was Full time. Immediately posted same day for a part time position at same store.Still unemployed.no response from any other retail stores.

I see. Wow shouldn't be so complicated for a warehouse position. Good luck. I am poisitive you find the right job.

Update two weeks later.
Contacted 2 days before the interview and said all positions were filled. Company called back a few hours later and told to come in at original interview time for a related position. I went in and did the Interview which was simple. How many days did you miss at last job, what did you not lke at your last job, how did you help someone else at your last job, do you have forklift or RF scanner experience. Told would be let go if didnt show up or couldnt do the quota. should be called back for a drug test at which point they would do a criminal background check. This could take 2 weeks in this location. I havent been called back at all.
Went to an interview at the retail location of this warehouse one week later. Told at least 30 people being interviewed here. Email said they needed references from 2 managers and one regular coworker submitted via a website within 24 hours. They will somehow average the scores. The best candidates will be called back for a second interview. Looking at other positions as well but nothing yet.

Congratulations, Charles, on advancing to the interview stage, and thank you for passing on some encouragement and good cheer to us.
