My husband left us four years ago. It's been really hard since then on one income. But last night I went downtown with my two kids and we just soaked in the Christmas lights and music. We even splurged on some hot chocolate. It was so nice and it just reminded me that everying really is going to be ok. God is going to take care of us, no matter what. We have life, we have love; it's Christmas, and life is beautiful.

Merry Christmas everyone.

You are right God is going to take care of you guys and you all are going to be okay. Keep doing the little things with your children these are will be the best memories they will carry with them. I know because my children reminded me how we had good times together even though at times it got a little rough. God has you and your family. Happy New Year to you and your family.

Yes God is reaching his mighty hand to provide...but more so he wants you to have a relationship with him that is not just a hand when you need him....I pray to God for guidance in all things. He provides me with all things. I laugh with him at his jokes...and before I have reason to cry...I ask for his wisdom. Let God strengthen you..educate you in his word...and empower you in all things...Amen

Take care and God bless. My ex husband, when married, had left us, my daughter and family, for a fake nurse. Be thankful for the time you have and dont worry about money. Corporations and businesses will eat at your budget but stay strong and know your boundaries. I provide for my daughter and family , even when i was homeless for 3+years. Someday, i will hold her in my arms permanently after their fog of life is gone. God bless you.

Good evening Miss Snyder I sympathize with you on a rough past four years as I have been through my own trials and life changing experiences but I must admit until I read your post I can honestly say the very question you proposed I have not given consideration to might I add it's a very serious question so I thank what I consider to be my higher power in order not to offend anyone who may have different beliefs for you for having the courage to share your experience of hope with all of us and giving me the presence of mind to remember how precious of a gift waking up every day no matter the outcome is to be happy and at peace internally to recognize on a daily basis that material things and status aren't what's important in the big scheme of things but the people that you share it with makes it priceless so again thank you so much for giving someone hope who had none in short thank you for being you I would like to wish you and yours a belated Merry Christmas and may the new year be the happiest one yet starting today I'm going to keep this question in the Forefront of my mind making it a practice if you will in my everyday life and whatever you do keep sharing your experiences of hope because the power of sharing may change the course of someone's life as you have on this day my prayers are with you and your children

Maria, are you aquainted with an Advice Columnist from years ago her name was Ann Landers... Well I myself was a Young Single Parent going through some Very Rough Times. Going to work in the mornings always had to have my cup of Coffee, light and sweet and my New York Daily Newspaper to read my Ann Landers. Here is a poem that she shared with her readers it's by Veronica A. Shoffstall, it's called, After A. While... After a while, you learn the subtle difference, Between holding a hand and chaining a soul. And you learn that love doesn't mean leaning. And company doesn't mean security, And you begin to learn that kisses aren't contracts, And presents aren't promises, And you begin to accept your defeats with your head up and eyes open, with the grace of a woman, not the grief of a child, And learn to build all your roads on today, Because tomorrow's ground is too uncertain for plans, And futures have a way of falling down in midflight. And after a while, you learn, That even sunshine burns if you get too much. So you plant your own garden and decorate your own soul, Instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers. And You Learn That You Really Can Endure.... That You Really Are Strong... And You Really Do Have Worth... And You Learn and Learn... With Every Goodbye You Learn. I hope you like it Maria. I made copies years ago, framed them and gave one to each of my daughters. I see that poem sitting where Everyone can see each time I go to visit them. It's a Beautiful and Powerful Poem that is Timeless and true to what's going on in each of our lives Today..
