HI Trenity, A lot of retail and food enterprises will hire young talent. Illinois regulates employment under the age of 16, but over 16 is unregulated - meaning you can get a job with anyone willing to hire you. First jobs are usually easiest in retail malls, fast food chains and other restaurants, etc. You just need to apply to a lot, show enthusiasm, and politely follow up each one! I'd suggest you come to the job fair. Even if you don't get a job on the spot, it will give you GREAT experience at talking to hiring employers about employment. And just like everything else, practice makes perfect. You'll get in 1 hour at the jobfair the kind of interviewing experience that might take 1 month on your own. Hope to see you there!!! Fred
