I was a FedEx Delivery Driver for over 10 years until last June. I was fired for having a pistol in my backpack and going through normal security. At this terminal all bags go through scanners like at the airport. I was totally unaware that it was in my backpack. Yes, people do forget it's in there bag sometimes. No write up. No warnings verbal or written. FedEx took my badge from me and called the the police. The police show up and unload my pistol walk me outside and handed it right back to me. Just fired like that. Simple mistake with no intention to break and company policy that I was unaware of anyway. Has this happened to anyone else?
