Activities Assistant Transportation at Hibbard Nursing Home

The Domestic Violence Prevention Project I volunteered for required training. After training I was able to assist with hotline calls and after hours coverage from home. I learned a lot and after some time was able to slip right in as paid staff because of the valuable skills I had acquired volunteering. It to this day has been the most satisfying work I have ever done. Non Profits are always looking for dedicated people to assist them.

Program Coordinator at Habitat For Humanity Lapeer Tuscola

It depends on where you wish to serve. Some places offer training, some require a criminal background check, some even require a membership fee to their organization. Try to determine what you would like to do and who offers that opportunity. Then contact that agency/ non profit and ask them.
