I think you want to do what is the best for YOU and your family.

If the permanent job is really that good, make sure you sign a contract with the full-time position, and THEN call the contract job and tell them: "Thank you for the offer, but I got another job that is full-time"

Don't feel bad, companies can let you go at any time if they want to get rid of you. You can do the same thing.
