I told you so!
My parents seem to think I’m some sort of lazy bum because I’ve moved back in with them. I’ve been trying to tell them that the job market just isn’t what it used to be, when they were trying to make it on their own.
Now, I’ve finally got statistics to back up my case! 40% of all young adults are living with relatives these days!

Hi Cindy, You are absolutely right! My daughter is 27 and living with her mother while she finishes college! If you can't find work, maybe you could be going to school for a better paying job! Good luck!

Ms. Shaw I was a social worker for about 6yrs. I found getting hired relatively easy. True enough now I had to travel. My first case worker job was 92 miles away. After 2yrs I had to move to Miami Florida for the job. Then to Georgia for my last placement. Yes!!!the money sucks, and the hrs are awful, but I have six years on CPS and Foster Care State social work. You might have to try and travel anywhere or even in another state to get started. I say it all the time........ Sometimes you gotta go to the job.... Apply in New Mexico, Arizona, or Nevada...... You are not working in social work because you want to stay in California.

You go girl!!! wish you luck in the New Year. it will be at least till then that they hire anyone maybe February or March ,good luck on finding one that will be able to support yourself.

Yep, it's a lot harder now than it was for them
It's really hard to remember that IT'S NOT JUST ME. Lots of people are going through this awful job search experience. I have a bachelor's degree and I work at Pizza Hut. : (
