I got terminated
I had worked for three years at this restaurant and after two fully committed years I got pregnant and after that pregnancy(and I worked every shift I had while pregnant and sick up until two weeks when I had to get three NST done weekly)I got extremely Ill. Still went to work all I could and the days I couldn't I got covered days before. But one day I couldn't come in due to continuous vomiting which then lead to vomiting blood, I messaged my manager and they told me to keep them updated, I went to the ER and mesaged my manager again and they told me my shifts were covered until further notice. No one contacted me for a week until I reached out and they told me that they took that as me quiting. I tried to explain what happened even send screenshots of the conversation but I still stayed unemployed.

That's crazy, if you kept.in contact letting thm know what's going on, they should have never fired you. I don't think they can do that if your keeping them updated, I believe you can do something about this situation legally... How long did you work there??

Also, one more thing. I think you should go in (when manager is working) and personally and politely ask if he has a minute to talk privately. ask how he/she has been, hows business( Any quick small talk) And be honest. Tell him you really miss working there and miss people. Then, go all in and be honest saying you covered the days you were ill and acted maturely about covering shift. just thought that Would help

I'm good in computer programming

Was it an at will employer? They can fire for no reason unfortunately especially food industry jobs.

Hi Lauren, I'm sorry for your difficult pregnancy and ensuing problems. One thing I have learned over a VERY long career in restaurants is that you have to call in every day. They will not call you. Their focus is the running of the restaurant, the staff, the customers, etc. They want that daily update so that they can keep everything in order. It's not exactly fair, especially when you are looking out for your own health and, in this case, the health of your baby. I doubt you will win this one, unless you can appeal to their human side, and, depending on the owners and management, you may find that hard to find. Start with your immediate supervisor or whoever you have the best relationship with. Again, so sorry for your troubles, and hope your baby is doing well!

If you get terminated for no reason you have to sue them or ask why you guy fire? Was because I miss a lot of work or was because I am pregnant you have to ask them why if nothing then it’s your time to sue them

Hi your manager do not care about his staff because he would had empathy for you. If you had your baby; look for a reliable, caring and patient baby sitter. Take your awesome experience, dedication and determination to another company who invest in you. Go for it you have the skills and determination!!

Typical disgusting behavior by an employer. Go to the EEOC and file a complaint. This could be a pregnancy discrimination case. Good Luck! EEOC has an office right in downtown Chicago.

Work for Amazon from home or move to the job.you'll make more money in 4 months than you can working as.a waitress for 2 years. Go for it
I just got fired for a lady calling into my job said I can't called her I didn't understand that at all what a cat called was but my boss said that she had to let me go because it was a liability is that true that I would have to be fired because of
