The waiting game is another part of the hiring process that hard to overcome even with phone calls and walk-in follow-ups. It takes companies months to respond to an applicant. Technology is great but the amount of online applicants for a job is killing the hiring practice. Don't be surprised if you hear back from all those applications all at once.

Maybe try going in person to follow up. If you have a hard time getting them on the phone, that might be a good way. But do it earlier in the day when they might have some time.
