Hey good luck! I have been reading everything I can to do better. I feel the same way. My gf is a manager at a book store and I asked her to run me thru a mock interview to practice. I know I don't sell myself well sometimes and it frustrates me because ppl tell me I am so smart , confident and organized. Keep trying!!

Hey Ebony, As a performer, I can tell you one of the best ways to help with anxiety is preparation. The better prepared you are, the more comfortable you are going to be. With that sad - the best way to prepare for an interview is to go through typical interview questions. Here are several you will generally run into: https://www.inc.com/jeff-haden/27-most-common-job-interview-questions-and-answers.html Go through these and write out the answers you would give to them. Then start practicing them. You don't want to memorize them so you sound mechanical when you answer in the interview, but get used to what you would want to say so you don't have to think about it so much. I would also recommend doing some mock interviews. Find some friends or family members who would be willing to "interview" you and then give you some feedback at the end. The more you do this, the more comfortable you will be at each interview you go to. I hope this helps! I'm sure you're interview today has already happened, but hope it will help with any future ones you may have. Good luck!!

Hi Ebony, before you enter the room pray and ask God to calm your nerves and enter the interview with you. Thank him, take a deep breath and strut confidently in.
