The size of the company you want to work for depends on personal preference. I would consider how the size of the organization affects the company culture. I would also evaluate your career goals within that particular company in order to better understand if size of the company helps or hurts your opportunity for potential growth and advancement.

It depends on your work environment preference and how involved you want to be with your job. I prefer to be a “big fish in a little pond”. Small companies (100 employees or less) have more opportunities to cross train and take on more projects. I’ve noticed that the employee’s work closer feel more ownership with the company. The only disadvantage may be limited promotion opportunities. You may have to wait longer to move up to the next level.
