I have just been forced to retire from Wal-Mart at 66 yrs. Old because of health and personal problems. I probably would have worked at least another 3 or 4 yrs. I will miss my fellow associates who are also my very good friends, the customers, and the whole Wal-Mart environment. A very good place to work!

Keep trying. Something will come up. And just by you putting it out there, you've already taken the first step. Good luck and congested on your grandsons!

I can understand. I am also disabled, went to transfer from one state to another while on personal leave. The two stores failed to commywith each other, put it in me....then terminated me while on personal leave.

Mr. C.B. Bolt, thank you for your service. Remember, with your years of experience you can always provide a consulting service to others.

It's very hard to get on at Wal-Mart

My sister works at Walmart and really likes it there. Nice to know they are being good to their employees. Enjoy retirement!!!

You can always meet your work friends for coffee or something! I still meet up occasionally with my old co-workers from a job I had like 10 years ago.

Don't sweat it retirement is not a bad thing. Can you work part-time from home or anything?

Hi Clarence! I am so sorry to hear that you aren't feeling well and had to retire. Walmart was so fortunate to have you and I am glad to hear it was a wonderful experience for you. What did you do while you were there? I am sure you can always go in and visit your co-workers and they would be so happy to see you! : )
It's better to leave now and enjoy your life
