Can you look into working for a hospice/assisted living facility in your area? Not sure what qualifications you need as a caregiver but give some places around you a call. I do know that many train you on the job in the ATL, Ga area. I've seen a few ladies being trained for this job when I did volunteer work for a local hospice and I visited patients. You basically need to get public transportation to the job and back home, or make sure the job or facility is on the bus/rail line. Good luck to you!
