I'm currently looking for a new job, but all companies want references. My problem is that I have social anxiety disorder and tend to keep to myself. It is so bad that if I call in my manager doesn't know I'm not there for several hours. My work is always completed on time and I go above and beyond to resolve any problems before ma manager hears about them. What should I do about finding references?

Are you under doctors care and have the information that supports this. Also go to your Social Security Department to see if you qualify for benefits. Try it, and don't talk yourself out of it, ok.

Email your supervisor at an old job to provide you a reference. If you are a good worker no matter how quiet you are they will know and probably have felt your loss. You can also provide personal references. Some companies just won't hire people without a reference.
