Why you didnt get the job
The little bit of time I've spent on this site there seems to be a recurring theme. There a lot of posts of people wondering why they didn't get the job when they were qualified and want to find answers. There could be multiple reasons.Somebody else they already they had in mind, they were out looking for what's out in the marketplace, or simply they didn't like you. That last statement is the one I want to address. I feel it's the number one reason why or why not you get hired. There's an old statement dot yout I's and cross your t's. Everybody interviewing for the position that's open already believes they have the qualifications to companies looking for but ask yourself the question are you what they are looking for? Remember you're selling yourself more than you're selling your qualifications. When going into an interview It's always important to ask questions and not just answer the ones that they feel are most relevant. A good question to ask is I know my qualifications speak for themselves but what I'm really interested in is the type of candidate you are looking for? What are the qualities do you feel the person for this position must possess? Asking questions not only gives you a direction in which the head but it also starts to form a bond between you and the interviewer before the actual interview starts. Remember that you only have one chance to make a first impression and most people will judge you in the first 30 seconds of meeting you. Before you start blaming it on ageism or nepotism ask yourself did I do everything in my power to make that good first impression. i got busy with my schooling as i was on academic probation. i needed to take care of that. If I remember right, i said that i would be able to work part-time and as far as working. Being a Disabled Veteran, I can't stand long, bad knees with torn meniscus and no cartilage. So, I would not be able to stand long and my CDL was surrender per the State of Texas due to my medical disabilities. I can talk to you about jobs in the Arlington, Fort Worth, or Irving. Dallas is to far unless its a Veterans Affairs position. I apologize for not getting back however since the VA VocRehab is paying for my school, Sir. I don't want any bad blood with you but I have to do what they tell me to do to get my BA in Business Management. I never got a interview. Yes I have all the qualifications. I'm 54 years old and I live a hour and half from Baton Rouge. I think it's the distance as much as the age. Guys my age are dependable and with the experience other than what's on paper. I think it's their loss.

In my case the person was not there I waiting, showed up one hour late, there was 5 people for the interview.
