Recruiter hasn't responded; Should I contact Hiring Manager?
Interested in your thoughts on this. I recently completed Round 5 of an interview process for a position which I'm very interested in and would be a great fit. After each interview, I followed up with a thank you note. After my last round, I sent an email to the recruiter letting her know I thought the conversation went well and letting her know I'd be out of town for a few days, when I'd return and that I would be available via email. After I returned, I sent a second follow up email, saying after speaking with all team members, I feel strongly I am an excellent fit and shared a couple of details about my experience that might interest them based on questions/conversation during my Round 4 conversation. The recruiter failed to respond to either of these emails.
Shall I contact the Hiring Manager directly (she was Round 2) and re-iterate my interest in the job and adding a couple of details about my experience based on what my interviewers discussed with me? Or should I assume they passed on me for whatever reason and let it go. I sent my last email May 4. Thanks!

Sorry to hear about the rejection call... that's never fun. Keep in mind, though, that the team saw enough in you & your background to call you back 4 times!! As Georgia said, it's all a learning process, so keep going. You'll find the right match!

Good morning Nancy, sorry to hear about the rejection. But don't worry now you know going forward before accepting any position ask what the hiring requirements are. I have been through this numerous times. Companies put applicants through so many interviews not caring the expenses we are incurring to get to these interviews to be rejected. If Ithe interview process does not match the pay scale I do not accept the position. Nancy, this is still a learning process. Also you should work with at least 3-5 agencies at any given time. Good luck I wish you well.

Yes contact hiring manager

YES ~ definitely send a follow up note directly to the hiring manager. If nothing else, it may prompt a response from the recruiter (so at least you'll find out if it's a yes/no).
Good luck!!
Let us know how it ends up, ok?

Hi Nancy, I think it would be ok to contact either one, but would maybe wait a couple more days. They could be doing some deliberating or maybe your recruiter went out of town for a few days. I definitely wouldn't get too worried yet, especially if the interviews went that well!
My opinion after 5 rounds there should of been a yes we want you or no we don't it sounds to me like they wanted to pick your brain for ideas, without any intent of hiring you, I have been there many times.
