Some tips that I hope will help you all NAIL the interview process and obtain a job! Leave about an hour early to be on time( depending on where you are coming from), bring an extra copy or two of your resume, practice interview skills with a professional preferably/ or someone who cares, research the company they are trying to employ you with( if you can obtain that info), be dressed to impress/ office attire, cover up any visible tattoos, use professional diction, bring a black/ blue pen( this might make you look as if you are truly prepared), check in and announce yourself( announce who you are and who you are there to see if the receptionist gives you an opportunity), ask if there is an application that must be filled out), bring your past history job info with you, plus 3 or 4 references, ensure that your references are current, turn cell phones off, regroom ( check your hair, teeth, and nose), look the interviewer in the eye at all times, and smile once in the building until the interview is over( you guys know what i mean ), send a thank you email regarding the interview if at all possible, DONT be nervous( do some breathing techniques in the restroom or wherever you can before the interviewer calls your name, a nice handshake won't hurt, and have fun conversating meaning be real!
